When was the last time that you said to yourself, ‘I love you’? When did you last look at your own reflection and say, ‘I am great, I am strong & I am enough’? It’s not easy and most of the time can feel awkward because the majority of us don’t believe in ourselves enough. We’re quick to judge ourselves and be influenced by negativity around us. Not believing in yourself and feeling negative grows so much easier than self love.

Self love doesn’t mean you’re being self-centered, it’s all about understanding that you are more important than the restriction you put on yourself at work and beyond. It’s how you nurture your inner champion & your authentic self. Self love gives you your personal power. Here are 3 steps that can help you begin to start understanding how easy it is to love your inner champion:

1. UNDERSTAND YOUR INNER CHAMPION

DROP YOUR GUARD. What is your passion, what makes you feel alive, what makes you get lost in time and very productive? Whatever your answer the most important part is that it reflects you, who you are from the inside. When someone asks you, ‘Who you are?; we are ‘programmed’ to share our name, age, profession, cultural background etc. Instead of this why not start to describe yourself with keywords that fit you, that make you feel alive and brings you closer to your authentic self. For example, during workshops, I introduce myself with these keywords that represent me.

"I am a....

Creator - I build workshops and get inspired to create new initiatives

Innovator - I find innovative solutions and new opportunities

Hustler- I meet new people, build a network with those who share the same passion

Warrior - I am resilient from living through challenges and making this massive career switch."

2. LISTEN TO YOUR ‘GOOD’ COACH

WHAT DO YOU TELL YOURSELF. This is where the power of self love starts. This is where you decide to listen to your ‘good’ coach or your ‘bad’ coach. Is your coach helping you to be your authentic self or break you down - making you more stressed. The voice of your coach will be there until your death. It’s the one that makes you decide how your represent yourself and sets you up for challenges. Remind yourself of the keywords that represent you and live them & own them.

3. BE COURAGEOUS ENOUGH TO TELL

YOURSELF & SAY TO OTHERS....

'I LOVE YOU' Yes, start staring at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself, ‘I love you’. Because when you believe it, others will believe it too. What you reflect has impact on others and your surroundings. You can inspire others too, help them & encourage them to know they don’t have limitations to be their inner champion, their confident authentic self. You create the environment that you want to be in. Make that change.

Happy Valentine’s day my champs

I love you...
